Bob Roche

(Coach U15)

Bob Roche grew up playing hockey in nearby Quincy, MA for the Quincy Youth Hockey program. He played his high school hockey at Boston College High and as a Postgraduate at the Northwood School in Lake Placid, NY and was a Captain for both teams. He played college hockey at Brown University where he was a part of the 1991 Ivy League Championship team.


Roche has over twenty-five years of coaching experience, beginning his career at the New England College Development League, where he was also the Director of Hockey. He then began his High School career as an Assistant Varsity Coach and Freshman Coach at his alma mater, BC High. In his two years with BC High, the Eagles were twice Super 8 Finalists. He then became the Head Varsity Coach at Weymouth High School, reaching the South Sectional Semi-Finals in his first year. He then matriculated to the Division III college level as an Assistant Coach at Curry College. While at Curry, Roche helped recruit teams that were a Top 15 Nationally ranked team annually, won a couple of ECAC Northeast Championships and made four NCAA Tournament appearances. Roche matriculated back to High School hockey where he was a volunteer Assistant Coach at Quincy High School for a year and then back to BC high as an Associate Head Coach under his classmate and best friend John Flaherty. For the past 12 years, BC High has been a Super 8 perennial contender, winning multiple Catholic Conference Championships and two Super 8 State Championships.



While coaching, Roche has also served as the Director of Hockey at Quincy Youth Hockey – coaching their Learn to Skate/Learn to Play, along with some of their youth teams and their Quincy 67’s U18 team. Roche also served as the Director of Hub City Hockey and Assistant Director of the EHF Bridgewater Bandits at the Bridgewater Ice Arena, coaching their 2008 teams.
