Joe Grossman

Coach U16

Joe spent 5 years playing high school hockey, first at Foxboro High School as an 8th grader, then 4 years for Boston College High School. While at BC High, he won the 2002 Super 8 tournament, was named a Catholic Conference All-Star twice, named to both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald All Scholastic Dream Teams twice, was HNIB’s Top Goaltender and won the 2004 USA Hockey Midget National Championship as a member of the Greater Boston Jr Bruins. Following BC High, Joe spent two years in the USHL playing for the Waterloo Blackhawks before matriculating to Dartmouth College where he was part of the 2007 Ivy League champions. 


Joe started his coaching career while still playing, and is entering his 5th season as goalie coach for the women’s team at Harvard University, where they lead all of Division 1 in team save percentage during 2018-19, while racking up multiple ECAC, Ivy League and team awards. Joe has worked with hundreds of goalies from youth to pro, and works with Pittsburgh Penguins’ goalie coach Mike Buckley’s GDS Goalies during the season.
